Paris, Tenn.—The Henry County Patriots made a touchdown in the last few seconds of Friday night’s opening to beat Haywood 29-26. With only 4.5 seconds left of the game, Quarterback Will Parrish threw to Ethan Thompson in the end zone to win the game. The Patriots play Beech at Austin Peay next week.
Meanwhile, Union City’s Golden Tornadoes suffered a shattering loss to Mayfield by the lop-sided score of 43-27.
