First LEGO Competition In Area To Begin Next Week

 
 
Union City, Tenn.–Discovery Park of America is collaborating with the Obion County Regional Libraries to offer this area its first LEGO® competition with a grand prize of an annual park membership and two free passes to an upcoming special exhibition entitled Towers of Tomorrow  at Discovery Park.
The first go-round in the competition is August 24, with other dates to be staggered throughout the fall.
All ages are welcome to participate in this competition. There are two age divisions: Children through grade 6, and grade 7 through adult. Nobody is too young or too old to participate! Be sure to visit your local library for their guidelines and deadlines. The first themed displays will be judged by Discovery Park of America on August 24. Again, check with your local library for details!

September 21: Historical Moment
October 19: NASA
November 16: Government Building
The competition will also help create awareness of the upcoming Towers of Tomorrow featured exhibition at Discovery Park of America which begins in January 2019. This will be the first time this unique LEGO® exhibition will be on display in the USA.

The regional libraries are accepting donations of new and gently-used LEGOS® for patrons to use for this competition and for local LEGO® Clubs. You can drop them off at your local library.
