Embezzlement Warrant Issued; Counterfeit Arrest Made

Paris, Tenn.–Paris Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a Dickson man on embezzlement charges involving a local store.
Police were called to the Game Stop store at 1150 Mineral Wells Ave. where the manager said a branch manager had embezzled cash and gift cards on 18 separate occasions starting in April.
She showed officers where the man had cashed out false transactions and pocketed the cash or placed the balance on other gift cards at the store. The embezzlement totaled $1,727.
A warrant was issued for Daniel Perez, age 31, of Dickson.
In a separate incident, Paris Police arrested a Paris man on a charge of passing counterfeit bills. James Richardson, age 48, of Guthrie Rd., was arrested late Friday night in the McDonald’s parking lot and taken to the jail. Bond was set at $3,000.
Police were called to McDonald’s, where an employee said they spotted the counterfeit and had Richardson pull over to wait on food while they called police.
