Waverly, Tenn.—A 20-year-old Camden man is in custody, charged with the shooting death of a Waverly man of the same age.
Ryan Daugherty of Camden was arrested today by the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office after the body of Garrett Seymore was found after he had been shot and fell into the Duck River near Paint Rock Road.
Sheriff Chris Davis said it appears the two men knew each other and had been involved in an altercation early Monday morning at the murder scene.
After the shooting, the suspect left the scene.
The body was recovered from the river after a tip was called in to law enforcement.
