Paris, Tenn.—Two Paris residents were arrested in the lobby of the Henry County Jail following a domestic dispute Saturday.
Shakra Gamble, age 28, of Wynn St., and Antonio Somerville, age 29, of Depot St., were both charged with simple assault. Somerville was also cited on drug charges.
The two reportedly became embroiled in a domestic dispute in the visitors’ area of the jail when they both were there to visit the same person.
Three deputies rushed into the visitors’ area and subdued the pair. During the booking process, Somerville was found in possession of marijuana and a baggie of a powdery substance and was charged with simple possession VI and simple possession II.
Somerville’s bond was $3,000 and Gamble’s bond was $1,000.
