Juveniles Catch Vandal In The Act

Union City, Tenn.—Two juveniles in Union City caught a man spray painting his car and gave chase, but lost him as he ran away. But the culprit left his black Crocs behind as he ran away.
Union City has been having a problem with a suspect or suspects spray painting vehicles and other property in recent days.
In this incident, two juvenile males were sitting on a porch and saw the suspect painting the rear bumper of a 2011 Nissan Altima parked on E. Reelfoot about 1 a.m. Wednesday.
According to the juveniles, a small SUV let a subject out and then turned around in the road. The subject went behind the car and the juvenile confronted him and found he had a spray paint can and had sprayed the letters “BIT” on the bumper. One of the juveniles chased the subject—a white male, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds—wearing khaki shorts, green shirt and black Crocs. The subject lost his Crocs as he was running around the house and across Reelfoot Ave. to Vernon St. Apartments.
