Paris, Tenn.—The 2018 Henry County Fair kicks off Saturday night with the Miss Teen and Fairest of the Fair pageants, set to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Commercial Building.
2017 Fairest of the Fair Alison Reagor will be crowning the new Queen. Organizers of the Beauty Revues told WENK/WTPR that anyone can enter any of the pageants the day of the events if they show up at the Commercial Building prior to the pageant.
The Saturday night pageants will kick off a week of activities, including the carnival, cruise-ins, live music, cash give-aways, pet show, craft demonstrations, and contests, such as Moon Pie eating contests. And of course all of the events that highlight the fair each year, such as the junior market hog, lamb, goat and beef cattle shows and the Junior Livestock Sale.
On Sunday, the Baby Barnyard pageants will begin at 1:30 p.m., with a youth grilling competition at 2 p.m.
The carnival opens on Monday at 5:30 p.m. A Cruise-In featuring The Barons will be starting Monday at 5:30 p.m. The Little Miss, Junior Miss and Miss Preteen will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m., with a Cash Give A Way right after the pageants.
Earlier on Monday, the dairy show will be held at 10 a.m. and entries will be accepted in adult and youth departments from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
WENK/WTPR will be posting the daily schedule and the Henry County Fair has a Facebook page on which they are posting all of the events, too.
