National High School Fishing Championship Ongoing At Kentucky Lake

Buchanan, Tenn.—You may be seeing a LOT of out-of-state vehicles in the Henry area the next few days. That is due to the Bassmaster High School National Championships ongoing at Paris Landing State Park.
The Henry County High School Fishing Team is just one of some 340 teams from all over the United States which are competing in the tournament. The full field will compete on the first two days, after which the field will be cut to the Top Ten on the final day.
The daily takeoffs and first two days’ weigh-ins will take place at Paris Landing, with the final weigh-in held in downtown Paris.
Garry Mason, Executive Director of NW Tennessee Tourism and Bethel University Fishing Head Coach, said it is an honor to welcome the anglers and their families.
The Junior Bassmaster Championship was held July 31-August 1 on Carroll County’s 1,000 Acre Recreational Lake.
The tournament is sponsored by Mossy Oak and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
