McCracken County, Ky.—A father and son from McKenzie were killed early this morning in a two-vehicle crash in McCracken County.
Driver Kevin Hudgins, age 43, and his father, Sammy Hudgins, age 64, who was a passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. and Kentucky 286 was closed for five hours following the wreck.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, Hudgins failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a vehicle driven by Todd Hess, age 54, of Kevil. Hudgins’ Chevy Malibu spun off the road and overturned.
Hess was taken to Baptist Health in Paducah with serious injuries.
