Greer, Wilson Win Easily, Griffey Beats Wirgau In Henry Co.

Paris, Tenn.—With the final votes in in Henry County, long-time County Mayor Brent Greer has handily beat challenger Garry Phillips by a vote of 4,298-2,337.
Circuit Court Clerk Mike Wilson has also handily beat his challenger Eddie Forrest, by a vote of 4,023 to 2,483.
In the 75th District State Rep. race—for Henry Co. only—Challenger Bruce Griffey maintained his lead over State Rep. Tim Wirgau by a vote of 3,039-2,393.
AND, Paris Police Lt. Josh Frey beat Doug Braden to serve on the Henry County School board from District 2. What that means is that the school board will have the only father and son to serve on the board at the same time (his father Rod Frey has been on the board two terms).
In other races:
In the District 3 County Commission race, Monte Starks, Jerry Berry, and Marty Visser were elected to represent that district (Visser and Starks are already commissioners) Starks had the most votes with 967, followed by Berry with 823; Marty Visser 624; Paul Mathenia 621; Dennis Garcia 437; and Bill Bailey 295.
In another contested race, Josh Frey beat County School Board President Doug Braden to represent District 2.
Rebecca Griffey beat Betsy Phillips by 2,823 to 1,740 for State Committeewoman District 24.
