Martin, Tenn.—A Dresden man was killed in a farm accident in Weakley County Wednesday.
The Weakley Co. Sheriff’s Office 911 Center received a call about 4:37 p.m. Wednesday about a tractor turning over on a man at 1689 Jewell Store Rd., located between Palmersville and Dresden.
When deputies arrived, they found Wesley Garrett McDaniel, age 30, of Fire Tower Road, pinned under a tractor he had been using to bush hog property.
Captain Randall McGowan said while climbing a steep hill, the tractor flipped over. Responding to the scene were deputies, Dresden Fire Department, Weakley County Rescue Squad, EMS, and Tennessee Highway Patrol.
Watson’s Wrecker Service helped free McDaniel from under the tractor. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
