Martin, Tenn.—Shelby Spurgeon has been hired as the new Weakley County Economic Director. She is the daughter of Kyle Spurgeon of Paris, who is now the CEO of the Jackson Chamber.
Shelby Spurgeon replaces Ronnie Price, who is retiring.
Shelby is from Jackson and was the top candidate from a pool of 61 who applied. She has a background in economic development and is finishing her bachelor of arts degree in communication from Mississippi State.
