Missing Murray Man Found In Henry County

By Shannon McFarlin WENK/WTPR News Director
Paris, Tenn.—A Murray man who had been missing since July 22 was found late Wednesday afternoon lying in a field in rural Henry County.
As WENK/WTPR reported Monday, Michael Eaves, age 63, had been reported missing by his family. He had been last seen Sunday morning, leaving Murray State University where he worked.
Earlier Wednesday, Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew had called for a search team to begin searching for Eaves. Shortly after the call for the search, however, Eaves was found lying in a field, exhausted and dehydrated, according to Belew.
Deputies in Henry County had responded to a call of an abandoned vehicle on the north end of the county. Upon inspection, they found the vehicle belonged to Eaves, according to the press release from the sheriff’s office.
Officers began a search of the area and found Eaves lying in the field. He was transported to Henry County Medical Center last night and his condition is unknown.
