Former Paris Woman Charged In Denver Homicide

Denver, Colorado—A former Paris woman has been arrested on a charge of second degree murder in Denver, Colo.
 
Brittany Lyons, age 25, who graduated from Henry County High School in 2010, was arrested in the early morning hours Monday following a fatal shooting in a doughnut shop parking lot around 2:30 a.m.
 
The victim is a male and reports are that he also is from Paris.
 
The Denver Medical Examiner’s Office told WENK/WTPR this morning that the victim’s name has not yet been released by their office. “We can’t release information until we have a positive ID,” the spokeswoman said.
 
The Public Information Officer for the Denver Police told us that charges against Lyons already have not been filed yet with the District Attorney’s Office.
 
The shooting occurred at LaMar’s Donuts and Coffee and when police arrived, they found the victim lying in the parking lot with blood on his chest. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance in critical condition and later died at 3:50 a.m., according to the Denver Police.
