Paris, Tenn.—A U.S. Fish and Wildlife officer arrested a group of people for illegal camping near Kentucky Lake Wednesday morning following a brief chase.
Officer Celeste Reagan spotted the illegal camping and one of the group reportedly took off running into the lake. Reagan gave chase and was able to apprehend the subject.
Henry Co. Sheriff Monte Belew said deputies with a K9 were on the way to the scene to assist but were not needed because Reagan caught the suspect without assistance.
Belew said Reagan cited the subjects into U.S. federal court in Jackson.
Reagan did not return phone calls for further information.
