The numbers of voters showing up to cast their ballots during the early voting period continues to be high, with a total of 1,696 casting early votes so far in Obion County and 1,471 in Henry County.
Obion County Elections Director Leigh Schlager said the total so far who are voted is 1,204 Republicans and 311 Democrats and 181 voting on the general election ballot only.
For today (Wednesday, July 18), 237 people voted on the Republican ballot, while 69 voted Democrat and 32 on the general election ballot.
In Henry County, Elections Director Delaina Green said the overall total is 1,107 voting Republican, 354 Democrat and 910 general election ballot. Today, the total voting was 275, which was 216 voting Republican and 59 Democrat.
Early voting continues through July 28.
