Paris, Tenn.—Derrick Garner, a welding student at Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Paris, was one of 12 college and high school students chosen to have lunch with Snap-On Tools CEO Nick Pinchuck at the SkillsUSA National Leadership Conference in Louisville. Garner also had the opportunity to address the Tennessee delegation at Nationals as this year’s success story. He landed a job at this year’s conference and serves as the student liaison to the Tennessee Board of Regents for all the TCATS in Tennessee. (TCAT photo).
