The Dyersburg Police Department is actively searching for missing person Jimmy C. Bingham, 45 years of age of Dyersburg, Tn. Bingham was reported missing to Dyersburg Police on June 24, 2018. According to the report Bingham regularly contacts his mother or family however no one has seen or heard from him since Father’s Day weekend.
Dyersburg Police Detectives have interviewed immediate family, relatives and close friends but have been unable to locate Bingham. Detectives have learned that Bingham had suffered a back injury years ago which led to issues with back pain. According to his family, Bingham was prescribed pain medication long term. Bingham is described as approximately 5’ 8”, brown hair, brown eyes and weighs approximately 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a shirt, blue jeans, black and white nike tennis shoes and a black and white ball cap.
On July 15, 2018 Detectives of DPD conducted a joint search operation with Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (Mid-South Search and Rescue). The search consisted of deploying dogs which are trained in detecting scent. The dogs and its handlers searched areas that were predetermined based on leads from the investigation. The search did not reveal any leads that would help us in locating Bingham.
