Calloway County, Ky.—A Murray bicyclist was transported to the hospital after being struck by a car Monday afternoon in Calloway County.
Calloway County 911 received a call around 4 p.m. reporting a vehicle accident with injuries on Airport Road
Tabytha Reed, age 19, of Benton was traveling north on Airport Rd. when she approached two bicyclists also travelling northbound.
Reed’s vehicle struck a bicycle being ridden by Molly Collins, age 51, of Murray. Collins’ bicycle was then pushed into a second bicycle being ridden by Gary Collins, age 58, also of Murray.
Molly Collins was transported to the Murray-Calloway County Hospital by EMS with non life-threatening injuries. Gary Collins also was injured but chose to be transported to the hospital by private vehicle. Reed was not injured.
The accident investigation is being conducted by Deputy Brandon Gallimore. He was assisted at the scene by Murray EMS and Calloway County Fire.
