Hickman, Ky.—Fulton County Sheriff Robby Woods died Monday evening at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Sheriff Woods, age 50, suffered a stroke last week. He died at 8:49 p.m. Monday night.
The Fulton County Dispatch posted a photo of Sheriff Woods with the message: “End Of Watch 7-2-18” on its Facebook page.
After suffering his stroke, Sheriff Woods was first taken to a Paducah hospital and then transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center by ambulance.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home in Union City has charge of funeral arrangements, which are incomplete at this time.
Chief Deputy Derek Goodson is acting Sheriff.
