Former Bethel Standout Chris Baker Hired As TCU Soccer Coach

 
JACKSON, Tenn. – Trinity Christian Academy High School in Jackson, Tennessee announced Wednesday that Chris Baker has accepted the position of Varsity Soccer Coach and Program Coordinator for the Lion and Lady Lion soccer programs at the school.
Chris is a native of England and holds a B.S. (2014) M.Ed. (2017) degree from Bethel University where he was a goalkeeper for the Wildcat Soccer team.
Coach Baker was most recently at Madison Academic High School in Jackson where he guided the Mustangs to three district title, two regional titles and one appearance in the TSSAA State Tournament.
He is currently an administrator for the Jackson Futbol Club handling the day to day operations for the Wolves Soccer organization. He holds a National D License with the United States Soccer Federation and is also certified as a Level 2 Goalkeeper Coach with the NSCCA.
Trinity Christian Athletic Director Ken Northcutt commented, “We are honored for Chris and his family to become a part of the TCA community. We are excited for Chris to lead our soccer programs and continue with TCA’s vision of “training young champions for Christ.”
Baker and his wife Jennifer reside in Jackson and are expecting their first child in October.
Baker is the second former Bethel standout to join the TCA ranks in coaching. Former Wildcat and Vanderbilt star Drew Hayes was hired recently as an assistant coach with the Lion baseball and football programs.
