Paris, Tenn.—A Home Going Celebration and Funeral Service will be held for Du’Juan Mandell Dowdy, who was the son of Dr. Janie Dowdy-Dandridge and Rev. Dr. John Dandridge of Quinn Chapel AME Church in Paris.
Funeral services will be held Saturday in Nashville and Quinn Chapel is taking a bus to the services and is open to anyone in the community who wants to go.
Dowdy passed away June 18 after a short illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 30, at the Greater Bethel AME Church, 1300 South Street, Nashville. Home Going will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m.
The bus will be leaving Quinn Chapel in Paris around 9 a.m. There is no charge to ride the bus. The bus will be returning the same afternoon, immediately after the service. If you want to go, contact George Combs Jr. at 731 363 6882. Please let him know by 3 p.m. Friday.
Burial for Dowdy will take place Monday at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Rest Memorial Gardens in Millington.
