Shepherd’s Table Feeds 50 At This Week’s Community Kitchen

Huntingdon, Tenn.–The Shepherd’s Table, the community kitchen spearheaded by the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon, had its most successful supper to date Monday night.
More than 50 guests, community leaders and volunteers were served with nearly 40 of those being people from the area in need of a good meal. Entire families with children were among the guests, as well as senior citizens.
The menu included grilled cheeseburgers, taco salad, watermelon, chips, chicken nuggets, chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. Committee Leader David Ray Carter said he was grateful for everyone’s contributions.
The Shepherd’s Table will serve supper EVERY THIRD TUESDAY of the month. The next supper will be July 17th, beginning at 5:15 pm at 19835 E. Main St. in Huntingdon.
