Paris, Tenn.—A Como man was arrested by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges after he led police on a chase Wednesday morning.
Brian Moody, age 39, of 25 Hwy. 140, was charged with evading arrest, reckless endangerment, possession of meth with intent to sell, and simple possession of marijuana.
According to the sheriff’s report, Lt. Lance Perry was on Hwy. 54 when a motorcyclist passed him at a high rate of speed. Perry tried to stop the motorcycle, but the driver sped off, passing another car in front of a vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
The pursuit lasted about a mile, with speeds exceeding 90 mph when Moody pulled the motorcycle onto the porch of his residence, while a passenger ran toward the house.
According to the report, Perry ordered both passenger and driver to step off the porch and he saw Moody drop a black bag beside the motorcycle.
The bag contained four bags of meth and two bags of marijuana.
Moody posted the bond, which had been set at $10,000, and will appear in court Tuesday.
