Paris, Tenn.—A Buchanan woman was arrested on reckless endangerment and child abuse and neglect charges after leading law enforcement on a chase with a child in the backseat.
Bond for Amanda Schaefer, age 32, of 4847 Mt. Sinai Rd., was set for $75,000. She also was charged with driving on a revoked license.
Paris Police Sgt. Jamie James observed her tags as expired as she was driving on Mineral Wells Ave. and attempted to stop her. He lost sight of her vehicle at the intersection with Jim Adams Drive, then saw it pull back onto Mineral Wells.
According to the report, Schaefer accelerated and James pursued her onto Spruce Street. Schaefer jumped the railroad tracks on Spruce and drove into the yard of a Spruce Street residence.
