Paris, Tenn.—Are you ready for some basketball? How about a free cook-out?
The new basketball court at Ogburn Park will officially open Wednesday afternoon and the city of Paris will hold a ribbon-cutting, free cook-out and pick-up basketball games at the opening.
The festivities begin with the ribbon-cutting at 5 p.m. The Paris Police will be on hand, cooking free hot dogs for everyone and the Parks Department will provide water. And there should be plenty of pick-up basketball games, too.
As we’ve previously reported, the basketball court is new from the ground up, with new concrete pad, new goals and new fencing. The city and parks employees have been busy on the project for the past several weeks. Lighting should be installed this week.
