Martin Man Arrested On Drug Charges Second Time In Two Months

Martin, Tenn.–For the second time in less than two months investigators from the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a Martin residence and again arrested the resident on drug charges.

On the new search, Keith Samuel Norris, age 30, is charged with possession of meth with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence for attempting to hide the drugs while officers were trying to gain entry.

On Thursday June 14th, investigators obtained another search warrant and recovered 4.5 ounces of crystal methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana and two sets of digital scales. $270.00 in cash was seized along with a Mercury Marquis automobile.

Sheriff’s Captain Randall McGowan said, “The street value of 4.5 ounces of meth if sold one gram at a time would be about $12,000.”

A second man—Bertram Price, age 24, of Jacksonville, Fla.—also was arrested on the same charges, minus the tampering charge.

In April of this year Norris was charged with possession of meth with intent after deputies recovered an ounce of meth and digital scales at his residence. He was released on $10,000 bond and that case is still pending.
