Trenton, Tenn.—The Gibson County Electric Membership Corporation has issued a notice that its members served from the Trenton substation will be affected by a planned outage beginning Thursday, June 14, at midnight and ending early Friday morning about 2:30 a.m.
The outage is needed to make improvements inside the Trenton substation and will help avoid a much longer unplanned outage.
Officials said, “We will attempt to telephone members who will be affected. We also will perform switching to limit the outage as much as possible. However, if you lost power during the last Trenton substation planned outage, you also will lose power during this planned outage.
“We know this is an inconvenience and we are sorry, but the outage is necessary to improve long-term service reliability. We perform the work at this time in an effort to cause fewer problems for you and our other members. As always, we will restore service as quickly as is safely possible. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding.”
