Mayfield, Ky.–A Mayfield man was placed under arrest Saturday evening after an investigation revealed that he attempted to solicit sex from a minor at the Mayfield-Graves County Fairgrounds, according to a press release from the Mayfield Police.
Jimmy D. West, age 47 of Mayfield, was located at the fairgrounds by Mayfield Police Department Officers on Saturday evening, June 9th, after a 14- year-old female said he had followed her around, and offered her money for a sexual interaction.
The female advised that the events had taken place the evening before, Friday night. On Saturday, she recognized West, and alerted Officers.
Investigation lead to West being placed under arrest, and transported to Graves County Jail. West has been charged with Attempted Unlawful Transaction with a Minor – 1st Degree.
