HC No Fly Zone Skeet Team Sweeps West Tennessee Regionals

The Henry County No Fly Zone Skeet Team continues its good run and swept the Scholastic Clay Target Program West Tennessee Regionals.  In Varsity competition, Gray Gardner 100, Stuart Archer 100 and Aaron Conrad 99 won the Team Championship with an amazing score of 299 out of 300.  Gray Gardner 100, Caleb Orr 98 and Stuart Archer 100 were first in Squad Competition with a 298.  Aaron Conrad, Briar Ray and Scott Hicks placed third in the squad competition.
The Henry County No Fly Zone Skeet Team is not resting on its laurels but is preparing for the State Championships during the week of June 18, at the Nashville Gun Club.  Then, it will move on to the National Championships outside Columbus, Ohio during the week of July 16.  No Fly Zone Skeet is well known nationally having won four National Titles, four second place finishes, three thirds and three individual National Championships over the last seven years as well as many State titles.  This Fall, there will be seven former No Fly Zone athletes attending college on shooting sports scholarships.
At the West Tennessee Regionals, in individual Varsity Competition, Henry County Shooters held the top five men’s positions:  Stuart Archer – 100, Gray Gardner – 100, Aaron Conrad – 99, Brian Ray – 98 and Caleb Orr – 98.  Henry County took seven of the top ten positions.  Varsity Shooters Kenzie Williams and Alysha Bevill took first and second Individual Ladies’ honors.
The Varsity Teams is coached by Bill Neese, Keith Ray and Tas Gardner.
The Junior Varsity Team of Sawyer Williams, Austin Fuson and Andrew Hunter Smith won the Junior Varsity Team Event with a score of 274.  The Junior Varsity Squad of Sawyer Williams, Kyle Leuci and Austin Fuson placed second with a score of 272 and the squad of Shelby Summers, Andrew Hunter Smith and Sarah Orr placed fourth with a score of 231. Sawyer Williams took the men’s individual gold with a 95.  Shelby Summers took Ladies individual second place and Sarah Orr took Ladies third.  The Junior Varsity Team is coached by Drew Williams who is also the programs head coach.
The Intermediate Advanced Team of Dalton Dodd, Evan Bevill and Will Overton placed first with a score of 277 in Team competition.  The same three shooters also won the IA Squad title followed in second place by the Henry County Squad made up of Wade Tucker, Chas Wade and Miles Mackey with a 266.  Henry County Intermediate Advanced Shooters took the top four individual men’s honors with Dalton Dodd 94, Evan Bevill 92, Will Overton 91 and Wade Tucker 90.  Addison Delaney placed third in the Ladies competition.  The Intermediate Advanced Team is coached by Doug Overton and Dustin Mackey.
Parker James, Drew Overton and Caden Delaney won team and squad honors for the Henry County Rookies. The Rookies are coached by Doug Overton and Dustin Mackey.
