Some 40 Firearms Stolen From UC Storage Facility

 
 
Union City, Tenn.—Union City Police are investigating the theft of some 40 firearms from a shed.
 
A Troy man advised the UC Police Department Sunday afternoon that his storage building at 215 West Gate Dr. had been broken into and two gun safes and at least 40 firearms were stolen. He said the theft had to have occurred between Thursday, June 7, and Sunday.
 
The owner said one safe could hold 36 guns and had a combination lock and that he paid around $2,000 for it. The other safe was a key lock safe that cost some $120. He estimated the firearms to be valued at $4,000.
 
According to the report, he was unable at this time to produce serial numbers, make or models for the stolen items.
