Henry County Fair Book Dedicated To Paris FFA

Paris, Tenn.—In honor of what has been an historic year for the Paris FFA Chapter, the 2018 Henry County Fair Book has been dedicated to them. Advisors Laura Moss and Ryan Inman accepted the honor on behalf of the Paris FFA. The award was presented by Fair Board President John Perkins who said the local FFA “has had an exceptional year”.
This year’s fair is set for August 4-11.
2018 has been a historic year for the Paris FFA Chapter.  In April the Chapter was awarded the coveted “Big Cup” after they were announced as the West Tennessee FFA Overall Champions.   This is the first time in the 69 years of the West Tennessee Awards Banquet that the Paris Chapter has been named as the Overall Regional Champions.
This has been a year of many successes for the 235 members of the chapter. Forty Five members celebrated Regional successes, fifteen were honored as Regional Proficiency winners, four Career Development teams were Regional Champions, four members were Regional Agriscience Fair champions, three members were honored as West Tennessee Stars, 3 members were Regional Leadership Development Event winners, one team was regional runner ups and six sets of team members were in the top 6 of the region.
The Chapter was announced as 2nd in the Leadership Division, then the Instructional Division was named 1st, and the Supervised Agriculture Experience Program Division was 2nd.  Then the Paris Chapter was announced as the District 2 Champion, a title held since 1977, and then the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT- 2018 Overall Champion.
The Henry County Fair Board is proud of each member of this organization, both present and past.  But especially proud of the 2017-2018 members that have been dedicated to their program this year in bringing home the “BIG CUP” to Henry County.
