Sedalia, Ky. – An elderly Bruceton, Tennessee, man was killed in a late Sunday night collision in Kentucky.
The Kentucky State Police worked a single vehicle fatality on Kentucky Highway 97 near Burnetts Chapel Road near Sedalia. The KSP was notified of the collision at approximately 12:53 P.M.
Preliminary investigation shows William R. Morton, 90, of Bruceton, TN., was traveling north on KY 97, operating a 2002 Ford Ranger. For an unknown reason, Morton lost control of the vehicle and ran off the roadway striking a ditch, causing the vehicle to overturn. Morton was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Graves County Coroner.
The investigation is continuing by Trooper Jay Dunn. KSP was assisted on the scene by the Mayfield Fire Department and EMS, Graves County Coroner’s Office, Sedalia Fire Department.
