Union City, Tenn. – Dick and Renee Dillon and Megan Hines, owners of the Hops and Barley restaurant on S. Ury Street in Union City, received a Rising Star Award from the Tennessee Small Business Development Center and University of Tennessee at Martin’s Regional Entrepreneurship and Economic Development Center during a Salute to the Stars reception June 5.
The Rising Star Award recognizes local entrepreneurs who are on the rise and have demonstrated growth potential. The businesses selected are als, Chimes for Charity, the Walk of Hope and other local causes. Pictured during the recep o engaged in their communities to create positive impacts in the area. Hops and Barley opened in 2014 and now employs 16 individuals in a family-friendly environment. The staff also participates in Habitat for Humanity.
