Parking Tips For Stewart Co. Graduation

Dover, Tenn.–Due to safety concerns and neighborliness, when the student parking lot at Stewart County High School is full on graduation night, Friday, May 25, no more cars will be allowed on campus, according to the Stewart County Sheriff’s Office.

No cars will be allowed to park on the side of the roads, and no cars may park across the street in the field. Please do not park in businesses parking lots. In past years employees of those businesses have been blocked in.

SHUTTLES will be offered from 5:00-6:30 p.m. from North Stewart Elementary School and Stewart County Middle School. They will run afterwards until everyone is at his or her car. One bus at each school will be wheelchair accessible (although there will be handicap parking at SCHS, too). The sheriff’s office said, “A lot of people took advantage of this service the last couple years and it has worked out great.”

Shuttles will not have to wait in line, so those taking the shuttles will probably get in and out of the school faster than those who park in the lot!
