Aurora, Ky.–The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources has partnered with the US Fish and Wildlife Service to conduct sampling for Asian carp removal on Lake Barkley this week. Sampling efforts include gill nets and hoop nets. Areas to be sampled include Above the Dam (Tuesday overnight into Wednesday), Little River (Wednesday overnight into Thursday), and around Donaldson Creek (Thursday night – Friday). If you plan to fish in these areas please be on the lookout for signs and nets in the water. If you are on the water and have an issue with a net please call 270-226-4192.
