Columbus, Ky.—Riverboat workers located a body near a boat ramp in the Mississippi River today near Columbus, Ky., in Hickman Co.
The Kentucky State Police responded to the scene at approximately 11:50 a.m. The male body was recovered from the river this afternoon. An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday in Madisonville.
The Kentucky State Police was assisted on the scene by the Hickman County Sherriff’s Office, Hickman County Rescue Squad, the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Department and the Hickman County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police Detective David Dick.
