Henry, Tenn.—An elderly Big Sandy man was killed in a three-vehicle collision Thursday night on Hwy. 79 near Henry.
Killed in the accident was Robert Shunk, age 80. The accident occurred near the intersection with Henry-Mansfield Rd.
Shunk was driving a 2002 Ford vehicle on Henry-Mansfield Road, while John Yarbrough, age 59, of Lexington, was southbound on Hwy. 79, driving a 1997 truck. Shunk pulled out of Henry-Mansfield Rd. in front of Yarbrough. A third vehicle, for which no information was included, was also traveling southbound on 79 and hit Shunk’s vehicle after it collided with Yarbrough.
Tennessee Highway Patrol Lt. Brad Wilbanks released the report to WENK/WTPR Friday morning. According to the report, the other two drivers were not injured.
