Eva, Tenn.—An induction ceremony and banquet for the Benton County High School Athletics Hall of Fame was held Saturday night at Lakeshore Camp in Eva.
Six new athletes were inducted: Jackie Bland, Wayne Chester, Leigh Ann Pettyjohn, Sue Fullerton Ward, Tanny Cole, and Danny Hensley.
Guest speaker for the event was Joey Williams, who returned to Lambuth College at the age of 44 to play football in 2003. A movie about his story is in development.
With the six inductees this year, the Hall of Fame now has 41 members after being founded in 2013. For more info on the Hall of Fame, contact Board Chairman David Markham at 731 571 5912.
