Buchanan, Tenn.—Two men were airlifted from Paris Landing State Park late Saturday night after a one-vehicle accident on Hwy. 140 E near Buchanan. Both men were trapped in their vehicle.
Paris Landing Fire Department Chief Reggie Coles said emergency units were called around 11 p.m. Saturday night. The Henry County EMS, Henry County Sheriff’s deputies, Paris Landing Fire Department and THP were dispatched to 9780 Hwy. 140 E.
Arriving units found a truck off the road and it had crashed into a tree. Coles said two men were found trapped inside the vehicle. Both were extricated with the Jaws of Life and transported to the state park where they were met by both Air Evac and Vanderbilt Lifeflight helicopters.
Both were flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center and their conditions are unknown. Their names have not yet been released.
