Woman Extricated From Vehicle By Multiple Agencies

Buchanan, Tenn.—A woman was extricated from a car that was found at the bottom of an embankment in Buchanan Thursday morning, thanks to the efforts of multiple emergency agencies. Units from Paris Landing Fire Dept, Puryear Fire Dept, Henry County EMS, Paris-Henry County Rescue Squad, Henry County Sheriff’s Dept., and Tennessee Highway Patrol all responded to a report of a one vehicle motor vehicle accident with entrapment on Highway 140 near Cowpath Road in Buchanan.  Arriving units found a silver Chevrolet Malibu lying on its side at the bottom of an embankment.  A single female occupant was found trapped in the vehicle.  The occupant was extricated from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life and transported by EMS to Henry County Medical Center; she reportedly was not seriously injured.   Units were on the scene for two hours (Reggie Coles photo).
