Murray, Ky.—Murray State University reportedly has suspended all Greek Life social activities on campus indefinitely.
The Murray State News announced on its Facebook page last night that a letter from Murray State President Robert Davies and Vice President of Student Affairs Don Robertson indicated that all social activities for fraternities and sororities are suspended, effective Wednesday, May 9.
The letter, which was sent to all students, says the decision is “based on national trends” and Murray State’s review “of reports involving Greek activities.” A university committee will begin investigating the policies of the fraternities and sororities during the summer.
