BPU Achieves Gold Level Designation

Paris, Tenn.—The Paris Board of Public Utilities recently earned a Reliable Public Power Provider designation from the American Public Power Association for providing reliable and safe electric service. The Gold Level designation, which lasts for three years, recognizes public power utilities that demonstrate proficiency in four key disciplines: reliability, safety, workforce development, and system improvement. Criteria include sound business practices and a utility-wide commitment to the safe and reliable delivery of electricity. BPU joins 240 public power utilities nationwide that hold the designation.

BPU General Manager Terry Wimberley said, “We are proud to be recognized for operational excellence of your local public power utility. We will continue to strive to earn the respect of this community as we provide you with vital every day services.”
