Benton, Ky.—A Benton woman who worked at a Benton, Kentucky, bank has been arrested for stealing over $20,000 from it.
Kentucky State Police arrested Amanda R. Powell, 40, for Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $10,000. The arrest is a result of an investigation into the theft of $20,000 from U.S. Bank located in Benton.
At the time of the theft Powell was employed at U.S. Bank. Kentucky State Police Detective Brian Hill presented the case to the Marshall County Grand Jury on Tuesday, May 9. The Grand jury returned a true bill on the case and an indictment warrant was issued.
