Huntingdon, Tenn.—A pickup truck that was stolen in Puryear was found wrecked on an exit ramp in Huntingdon over the weekend.
Huntingdon Police and Henry County Sheriff’s deputies are still investigating to find the man who ran from the scene.
According to the sheriff’s department report, the green 1998 Dodge Dakota was apparently stolen from a driveway in Puryear Friday evening. After the BOLO was issued, Huntingdon Police reported the truck was in their impound lot.
The truck was found by a Huntingdon Fire Department firefighter around midnight Friday. A black man with dreadlocks and wearing a purple jacket was standing next to the wrecked vehicle and told the fireman he needed a ride. When the firefighter called the police about the wreck, the man left the scene.
