Paris, Tenn.–The next Paris community blood drive will be Thursday, May 3rd at the First United Methodist Church downtown from 12 to 6 pm. This will be the annual “Battle of the Badges” between the Police, Fire and Sheriff’s Departments.
All are encouraged to give for their favorite department. Each donor will receive a special t-shirt and the losing two departments will wash the vehicle of the winning Chief or Sheriff. All types are needed to help kick off the summer and alleviate blood shortages from happening.
Last year, the Paris Fire Department won and Fire Chief Michael Williams was allowed to smash pies in the faces of Police Chief Chuck Elizondo and Sheriff Monte Belew.
