Fish Fry Grand Parade Rules Outlined

 
 
Paris, Tenn.—Paris Police Chief Chuck Elizondo has issued a reminder to the public of the do’s and don’t’s for this week’s World’s Biggest Fish Fry Grand Parade. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. and moves down East Wood Street to Fairgrounds Road.
As always, Elizondo reminds everyone to leave their pets at home. No pets are allowed on the parade route, unless they are part of the parade. No bikes, ATVs, skateboards, skates, mini-bikes, etc. on the route unless authorized and no candy is to be thrown from the parade entries.
Here is the complete list:
 
 
 

  • Parking is allowed on the South side of the parade route at midnight.
  • Make sure private drives and intersections are kept clear.

 

  • Leave cell phone number on the vehicle dash in case of illegal parking.  We will call before we tow.
  • No bikes, ATV’s, skateboards, skates, mini bikes on route unless part of the parade or authorized i.e. Jaycees, EMS, Rescue Squad and Law Enforcement.
  • No pets of any kind on the route unless part of the parade.

 

  • No candy is allowed to be thrown from parade entrants but may be carried to the spectators.

 

  • No poppers are to be sold or thrown on the parade route.

 
 

  • When the parade ends, make sure all vehicles are moved.  If left unattended in a traffic lane, they will be towed.

 

  • Vendors must have a permit to sell on the parade route.

 

  • Backpacks will be checked for content on the route.

 

  • Parade entrants must be in possession of a valid Driver’s License

 

  • Handicap parking will be provided on a first come basis at Walkers Pre-Owned Vehicles, 1122 E. Wood St.  Handicap placard is required.
