Union City, Tenn.—A Union City man was arrested on a charge of burglary and dozens of stolen items were recovered following investigation by the Union City Police into a burglary at a local business.
Arrested was Gary Stratton Moore, age 25, of 619 S. Ury St.
According to the police report, a large amount of tools totalling some $6,000-$7,000 were stolen from RC Mechanical at 421 E. Jackson St. sometime overnight Wednesday, April 18. It was determined that someone had cut the lock on an enclosed trailer and took the tools and heating and cooling items. Stolen items included hand tools, saws, drills, a dolly, wrenches, copper pipe fittings, a shop vac and more.
A Union City Police spokesman told WENK/WTPR that Moore lives nearby and many of the items were recovered from his home and other items were recovered at a home in the country.
