Paris, Tenn.—A Springville man who walked away from Henry County Medical Center with an IV still hooked up to him was arrested at his home later after allegedly threatening two EMS workers with a gun.
Thomas M. Rose, age 60, of 510 River Oaks Rd., was charged with aggravated assault by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the report, HCMC officials reported that Rose had left the hospital Thursday afternoon and Henry County Emergency Medical Services was dispatched to check on his welfare.
When EMS workers arrived later that evening, they were let into the house by another resident and immediately saw Rose seated in a chair, pointing a gun at them.
The EMS workers left the home and Deputies Kyle Waldron and Lt. Clyde Sulcer met them nearby. Waldron and Sulcer then went to Rose’s home where they placed him in custody on the porch without incident.
Rose is being held in the Henry Co. Jail on $10,000 bond.
