Murray, Ky.—The Kentucky Writer’s Day Celebration–a community gathering that will honor Kentucky writers and poets, celebrate National Poetry Month and observe Shakespeare’s 402nd birthday–will be held Monday evening at Calloway County Public Library.
The event will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, April 23, at the library meeting room.
Library officials are inviting families and individuals to select favourite poems to read out loud. The event will feature poems by the late Robert Penn Warren of Guthrie, Ky. (who also wrote “All The King’s Men”).
